Why editing matters
Editing plays an important role in creating a consistent style, but the process begins long before the images reach the editing stage.
The way I photograph a wedding is carefully considered to work alongside my editing style. I’m drawn to natural, cinematic tones, so I shoot with an awareness of light, colour, and atmosphere from the very beginning.
Even on the brightest summer day, when the sun is intense and the colours are naturally more vibrant, I’m looking for ways to create depth within the image, using shadows, contrast, surroundings, and composition to maintain that sense of mood and emotion.
My aim is never to make your wedding look darker or less vibrant than it was. It’s about capturing the atmosphere of the day in a way that feels refined, timeless, and true to my style.
The final edit is there to enhance what was already present, the light, the emotion, the textures, and the feeling of the moment, rather than transform your wedding into something it wasn’t.
